Breaking: Omatek Computers Founder, Florence Seriki is Dead
Florence Seriki, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria’s foremost computer assembling company, Omatek Computers, is reportedly dead.
According to a Facebook post by Adebiyi Fashoyin who once worked under the now reported deceased, Mrs Seriki, it reads, “Good night, Amazon! The heavens aee blazing forth, the death of the Princess! You were ahead of your time inspite of your humility and simpliciry. Nigeria, nay, Africa lost an enigma, who gave me my first chance in Management. I an consoled that you named ine of my children after yourself; Omatule. Death, where is your sting? I weep! I also smile at your timeless legacies.
You were my friend,my boss and confidante. Your short but well accomplished life, is better than a century without a name.. RIP, Mrs Florence Seriki, OFR..”
Meanwhile unconfirmed sources informed e-NIGERIA! (www.e-nigeriang.com) that Mrs. Seriki died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH)on Friday 3rd of March 2016.
Florence Seriki has been a Non-Executive Director of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc since October 1, 2009. She is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers. Nigerian Computers Society (NCS) and the Institute of Directors. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University).
Omatek Computers Limited is the first factory to locally assemble Computer cases, Speakers, Keyboards and Mouse, other than Computer systems and Notebooks in the whole of Africa.
