Dokpesi Wants Media Repositioned As South-South Media Practitioners Pay Solidarity Visit

The Chairman Emeritus, DAAR Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi has expressed gratitude to a group of veteran media owners, practitioners and concerned persons who played different roles in ensuring quick resolution of issues between the broadcast outfit and the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC.

Dokpesi said this during a solidarity visit by media practitioners under the auspices of south-south media practitioners forum at the company’s corporate headquarters in Abuja on Monday.

The South-South Media Practitioners Forum is one of the numerous groups that have visited the premises of Daar Communications in solidarity, following its recent face-off with the NBC.

The group said it was necessary to identify with DAAR Communications at every moment of trial because of the achievements the media outfit had recorded overtime.

The chairman emeritus, DAAR Communications Plc, Aleogho Dokpesi said he is impressed with the courage exhibited by the practitioners and expressed optimism that efforts are on to resolve the issues.

Dokpesi once again called for the review of the Nigerian Broadcast Code of 1992 in view of present realities.
