Oyo Gov. Appoints Vanguard Editor, Jide Ajani, Media Adviser

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of former Sunday Editor, of the Vanguard newspaper, Mr. Jide Ajani as Special Adviser, Media.  A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, confirmed Ajani’s appointment, which he said takes immediate effect. Suspected herdsmen attack Delta State orphanage

Bandits, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, have attacked the Great Saints Orphanage in Issele-Uku, in the Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, destroying parts of the building and the vehicles parked in the compound. Corps member dies after washing hair with Sniper to remove lice

A member of the National Youth Service Corps scheme serving in Osun State, Ayomikun Ademorayo, on Sunday died after she reportedly washed her hair with an insecticide, Sniper, to eliminate lice. Some colleagues of the deceased told our correspondent that Ayomikun, an orphan, discovered lice in her hair while preparing for a new hairdo in preparation for her birthday on July 18.
