Lagos-Ibadan expressway only 40% done, to be completed 2022 -Works Ministry

As the Federal Government prepares for partial closure of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday for repairs, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr Adedamola Kuti, says the project is still 40 per cent completed. Kuti told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that the project, which began in 2013 and earlier scheduled to end in 2017, would now be completed by 2021/22 because the Muhammadu Buhari administration included some missing features. Nothern group accuses Igbo, Yoruba of taking over Northern jobs, vows to reclaim them

A group of Northern youths are alleging people from the Southern part of Nigeria are taking over jobs that ordinarily should be reserved for indigenes, vowing to start what they call a ‘ take-back campaign’ to reclaim them. Notorious car robbers arrested by police in Lagos

Two suspected car hijackers have been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) alongside three others that participated in the selling of the car to a dealer in Republic of Benin for the sum of N250,000. The two suspected robbers hijacked a Taxify Toyota Corolla Sports in Lekki. Oil Income Dropped by 45% in June -NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has disclosed that earnings from oil and gas production in June were down by 44.65 per cent, indicating a value reduction of about $226.38 million between May and June 2019. The Corporation, in its June 2019 monthly financial and operations report stated that in May, the sales value of oil and gas production in Nigeria was $547.61 million.
