AMCON Seals Aso-Radio Premises Over Unpaid Debt

The broadcast operations of government owned Abuja Broadcasting Service was abruptly distrupted on Monday, when a team of enforcers from the office of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) came calling to take over the premises, over backlog of huge unpaid bank loans accrued by past managements of the corporation.

According to an eye witness, all the workers were forcefully sent out from their offices during the operation and ordered to vacate the premises immediately, after which the premises was firmly locked up.

The fledging broadcast station might be put under receivership, pending when the loan situation will be resolved.
