Ondo 2020: Makinde Did His Best But Moles Worked Against the PDP Underground – Dare Adeleke

The Secretary of PDP sub – committee on Contact, Inter – Party Reconciliation Committee, under the umbrella of the National Campaign Council for Ondo 2020, Dare Adeleke, has commended Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor, for his outstanding leadership in the build up to the elections.
Adeleke said the governor put all his resources to ensure victory for the party but some elements who worked against the party, frustrated, derailed focus and caused friction within the PDP.
In a statement released in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the
Chairman, Oyo Pacesetters Transport Company said: “When there is a mole within the top ranks of a party, it is tough to have have a cohesive outcome in an election.”
” This is the same dubious character who did not support a PDP Governor during the last Osun election, he never supported the party with one kobo. Even when His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde contested he never supported him. Whereas, Gov. Makinde went out of his way to support him during his election and even inauguration. This ingrate within our party ranks is a black sheep that has refused to repent”.

Speaking further, Adeleke stressed that Seyi Makinde, leader of the South West PDP, lived up to expectation and threw his weight behind the party, and it’s governorship candidate, Eyitayo Jegede. He said: “Gov. Makinde stood like wall of Gibraltar against the oppressive leadership of the APC. He deployed his personal resources including human resources, he sent a team to reconcile the members across the state but the disgraceful element who has been betraying the party continued to cause problems.”

“Seyi Makinde is a leader like none we have seen before. He truly exhibited the trait of Omoluabi. We have never had such a kind hearted Governor”, he stressed.
Adeleke also used the opportunity to appreciate all the PDP Governors and National Campaign Council for Ondo 2020, saying: “Everybody tried but for those who worked against the success of the party underground, everybody knows them. They know themselves.”
