The Federal Government has launched a new application portal for Nigerians interested in converting their vehicles from using Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). This initiative, announced in a statement on Wednesday by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), offers a flexible payment plan to ease the transition.
According to the statement titled “Payment plan to make it easier to switch to CNG,” Nigerians can apply online and spread the cost of conversion through affordable monthly installments. “Switching to Compressed Natural Gas is now more accessible than ever,” the NOA stated.
“With flexible payment plans tailored to fit your budget, transitioning from petrol to CNG has never been smoother or more affordable.”The agency emphasized that the application process is designed to be hassle-free, with support available throughout the process.
“These payment options allow you to convert your vehicle now and pay later with affordable monthly installments at competitive rates. With an easy online application and quick approval process, you’ll receive support every step of the way to ensure a hassle-free experience,” the statement continued.
Highlighting the benefits of CNG, the NOA noted cost savings, a positive environmental impact, enhanced engine life, and proven safety and reliability. Nigerians interested in making the switch are encouraged to apply via the portal at gocng.ng.
