Nigerian social media figure and cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been hospitalized following his arrest by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme Border.
According to NIS spokesperson Deputy Controller Kenneth Udo, Bobrisky was taken into custody on Monday as a “person of interest.”
While in detention, Bobrisky reportedly developed symptoms of illness, prompting authorities to transfer him to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. “His condition required immediate medical attention due to a rising body temperature,” a source within the NIS disclosed.
The reasons behind Bobrisky’s arrest remain speculative, though it is alleged that he was attempting to flee the country.
A separate government investigation confirmed that he had completed a six-month prison sentence, though the report mentioned that he enjoyed certain privileges while incarcerated.
Despite official reports, many details remain unknown. Efforts to reach the NIS for further updates on Bobrisky’s health have been unsuccessful. Concerned fans have taken to social media to express their worries, with one follower commenting, “We just hope Bobrisky is okay and this situation gets resolved soon.”
As public interest in Bobrisky’s situation grows, both his health condition and legal standing remain under scrutiny.
