Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended warm congratulations to the people of Ondo State and the newly elected governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on his victory in last Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo described Aiyedatiwa’s victory as a positive development for the region and pledged to collaborate with the new administration for the progress of both Edo and Ondo States. “I congratulate my friend and brother, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, for emerging victorious in last Saturday’s governorship election,” Okpebholo said.
“His victory is a good omen, and I am certain that we will work closely together to bring peace and development to our dear States as good neighbours.”
The Edo Governor also commended the people of Ondo State for their trust in Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver on the mandate. “I also want to appreciate the people of Ondo State for voting for Governor Aiyedatiwa. I am certain that he will do well and bring more prosperity to the people of the State and Nigeria in general,” he added.
Governor Okpebholo prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for Aiyedatiwa as he prepares to lead Ondo State for the next four years, emphasizing the importance of unity and development in the region.
The statement underscores the commitment of both Edo and Ondo States to fostering stronger ties for regional growth and prosperity.
