Oyo State PDP chieftain, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his decisive role in the reconstitution of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.

Adeleke said the reconstituted council would help entrench and strengthen the state’s traditional institutions, while also solidifying the structures that guide their operations.
He particularly commended the appointment of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as Chairman of the reconstituted council, describing it as a well-considered and stabilising choice.

According to Adeleke, the timely inauguration of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs would put to rest the confusion that had bedevilled the body in the past.
“The timely inauguration of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs will put to rest the confusion that has bedevilled it in the past. It is a move that will strengthen the council and give it a more concrete foundation, with greater wherewithal to serve its communities better,” he said.
Adeleke further praised Governor Makinde for what he described as another diplomatic masterstroke, noting that the process was conducted with transparency and fairness.
He expressed optimism that members of the council and other stakeholders would work collectively to ensure its success.
“We are hopeful that all members and stakeholders will put in determined efforts to make the council succeed for the benefit of their communities and the people at large,” Adeleke added.
