“My Democratic colleagues are being very cooperative, and I think we’re going to get through the five bills very quickly, probably sometime today, and we’ll agree on a clean CR for Homeland Security,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) told a group of us. “The only issue’s how long, and the Dems want two weeks, and Trump wants four weeks. And, you know, I’m sure somebody will want eight and a half weeks and three hours. But the point is, they’ll agree to something.”
