Ron DeSantis signed a sweeping new voter suppression bill into law on Wednesday that is meant to mirror the national documentary proof of citizenship legislation that, to right-wing activists’ great displeasure, is currently languishing in a Republican-controlled Congress due to the Senate’s filibuster rules.
