To the brilliant candidates and resilient parents of Nigeria and Edo State in particular.
Today is more than an examination- it is a defining moment where you begin to unlock the doors to your future. In doing so, remember that your background does not define your destiny; your determination does. Go into this hall with clarity of mind and courage of spirit, knowing that today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your story.

•A SYNERGY OF LEADERSHIP: FROM THE CENTER TO THE HEART OF EDO<
Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has expanded access to higher education- removing financial barriers and allowing students to focus on learning rather than survival.
In the same spirit, Governor Monday Okpebholo is driving bold reforms in Edo State, reflecting a shared commitment across federal and state levels to meet the expectations of students through concrete results. Over 100 schools have been renovated or rebuilt, alongside the recruitment of over 5,000 teachers to strengthen learning outcomes. At the tertiary level, increased support for Ambrose Alli University and Edo University has improved stability and academic standards. Key reforms have also been delivered, including bursary restoration after two decades, digitalization of certificates, resolution of medical/nursing students induction issues, and upgrades to technical colleges. Through collaboration with NELFUND, access to education financing has further expanded.
Together, these efforts show a clear alignment between promise and performance, strengthening education as a true equalizer.
•A COVENANT OF TRANSFORMATION
My commitment to you remains unshakable. When given the opportunity to serve in the Senate, I will complement and amplify the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Monday Okpebholo- creating a strong pipeline from education to opportunity.
I will work to unlock federal support, expand scholarships, drive high-tech skills training, and attract industries that will empower our youths. We will not accept a future of wasted potential; we will equip our young people to compete and lead globally. Your brilliance will not be lost; it will be elevated.
•THE FUTURE IS YOURS- GO AND CLAIM IT!
To every parent who has sacrificed and every student striving for a better tomorrow, the era where poverty limits potential is ending. We are building a system where every hardworking child can rise to the highest levels of achievement, regardless of any social-cultural and religious stratification. As you sit at your desk today, carry the hopes of your family with confidence, and approach this moment with excellence and resolve. Do not just write; excel. Do not just participate; dominate because the future belongs to those who prepare for it.
