PDP Chieftain and Special Adviser (Federal Constituency Matters) to Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Hon. Dare Adeleke has described Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin victory at the Appeal court as a solid affirmation of the People’s will and a victory for democracy.
In his statement and congratulatory message issued in Ibadan, Oyo State, Adeleke said: “Today the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja upheld the victory of Hon. Ambassador Adigun Agboworin as the Ibadan South-East/North East Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives elections. We will recall that the PDP gave the APC candidate a convincing thrashing during that election.
“The Court of Appeal victory has etched the incontrovertible fact in the annals of history and the matter can now be put to rest.
“I wish to extend my congratulations to the undisputed winner of the House of Reps seat in our constituency as I express my confidence and that of our party, the PDP in him and his ability to represent his people.
“Indeed, Hon. Agboworin has been a beacon of hope to the people of Ibadan South-East/North-East Constituency and I believe the people will continue to support him in all endeavors.
“I must also thank the governor of Oyo State and leader of the PDP, South West, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his support all through the process.
” I commend the appeal court Justices who have again proven that the judiciary is impartial and just.
