The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of the Executive Governor, Pastor Umo Eno. She peacefully passed away on September 26, 2024, after battling an illness, with her family by her side at the hospital.
In a statement released by Comrade Ini Ememobong, the Honourable Commissioner for Information, the family expressed deep sorrow but affirmed their submission to the will of the Almighty. The family is asking for prayers and support during this challenging time and respectfully requests privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Governor Umo Eno extended his heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported the first family throughout this difficult period. He reassured the citizens of Akwa Ibom that, despite this personal tragedy, his commitment to serving the state remains firm.
