All-Democratic-Alliance-ADA

ABUJA – The All Democratic Alliance (ADA), a newly formed political association, has officially submitted its application to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be registered as a political party.

In a letter dated June 19, 2025, and jointly signed by Protem National Chairman Chief Akin A. Ricketts and Protem National Secretary Abdullahi Musa Elayo, the ADA made a formal request to INEC, with a copy of the correspondence shared with journalists in Abuja on Friday.

The move, according to the statement, was endorsed by the Nigerian National Coalition Group, which is sponsoring the ADA’s bid for full political party recognition.

“We respectfully write to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to request that our association, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), be registered as a political party,” the letter read.

The party disclosed that its official slogan will be “Justice for All”, and submitted documents detailing the proposed national secretariat, party logo featuring maize as a symbolic element, party colours, as well as its constitution and manifesto.

The application also outlines the ADA’s ideology, governance structure, and internal regulations, while affirming compliance with constitutional and legal requirements under Sections 40 and 222 of the 1999 Constitution and Section 75 of the Electoral Act 2022.

“While we eagerly await further action from the Commission, please accept the assurance of our best wishes,” the letter concluded.

With this move, the ADA joins a growing number of political associations seeking registration ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
