KATSINA, NIGERIA — Ambassador Bernard Oshi, President of Ben 10 Equipments Inc., has praised Governor Dikko Radda’s “transformative leadership” in agriculture, industry, and education, declaring him a model of the bold, visionary leadership Nigeria urgently requires.
Speaking at a press conference, Oshi highlighted several collaborative efforts between his company and the Katsina State government that are driving grassroots development and youth empowerment. Central to these initiatives is a farming tractor assembly plant in Katsina, developed in partnership with Woeka Equipment Company, a Chinese agricultural technology firm.
“Dr. Radda is not just visionary; he is relentless in the pursuit of progress for his people,” Oshi said. “I’ve worked closely with many leaders, but he stands out for his strategic clarity and refusal to be distracted from his mission.”
Oshi disclosed that the assembly plant project has already trained 34 youths from different local government areas in the technical assembly of tractors and planters.
“In just a month, these young men acquired skills to assemble farming equipment. The speed of the project has since increased, and we’re on track to deliver by early May,” he stated.
Mr. Williams Xui, CEO of Woeka Equipment Company, also addressed the media and expressed deep satisfaction with the Katsina State government’s commitment and transparency in project execution.
“Our experience working with the Katsina State government has been both smooth and inspiring,” said Xui. “Governor Radda and his team are extremely professional, proactive, and committed to delivering results. It’s not every day you find a government so willing to invest in lasting, practical solutions for farmers.”
Xui, who supervised the deployment of Chinese irrigation experts to the state, said he was impressed by the local enthusiasm for modern agricultural techniques.
“We visited multiple sites and designed a solar-powered irrigation system using pivot technology to improve efficiency. This project can irrigate over 200 hectares and provide year-round water access, especially during the dry season,” Xui explained.
Ambassador Oshi underscored that Governor Radda was the first in this democratic cycle to declare a state of emergency on agriculture, a move he said is yielding tangible results.
“The dividends of democracy are finally reaching all corners of Katsina, including areas that were long overlooked,” he noted. “The state is fast becoming the food basket of the nation.”
He further praised the governor’s cabinet for their role in actualizing this vision, with special commendation for the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Their dedication is commendable. The Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture deserves special recognition for driving these achievements with passion and professionalism,” Oshi added.
In a powerful endorsement, Oshi expressed hope that Dr. Radda would one day be called upon for national leadership.
“When President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s tenure ends, I hope Nigeria will look to refined, purposeful leaders like Dr. Radda to move the country forward,” he said. “He is the kind of visionary we need.”
The press briefing closed on a note of optimism and patriotism.
“May God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Oshi concluded.
