A London-based teacher and cultural ambassador, Uche Nworah, has recounted what he described as a strange and unsettling incident involving the remains of late singer Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah, while they were being transported from Abuja to Enugu.

Nworah said he received the account directly from the singer’s uncle, with whom he has been friends on Facebook for years. He explained that the uncle called him to clarify some widely shared social media claims and to share details he considered disturbing, though possibly coincidental.

“Contrary to the reports circulating online, Ifunanya did not live on the ground floor of her apartment but on the second floor,” Nworah said, quoting the uncle. “This raises questions about how snakes could have gained access to her living space. If she had been on the ground floor, people might say they came through drains or toilets, but that explanation is less straightforward given that she lived upstairs.”

According to Nworah, the uncle also narrated a bizarre episode during the transportation of Ifunanya’s body to Enugu, in line with her father’s wishes.

“He told me that the ambulance conveying her remains broke down along the Abuja–Enugu Expressway, and they had to call for a replacement vehicle,” Nworah wrote on Facebook. “While they were waiting, a snake was discovered underneath the broken-down ambulance and was later killed.”

Nworah added that while the incidents may be unrelated, they have left many people unsettled.

“Some may see these disclosures as disturbing, while others may view them as mere coincidences,” he wrote. “But they certainly raise questions and leave room for reflection.”

The account has since triggered widespread reactions on social media, with many users expressing shock and debating the unusual circumstances surrounding the singer’s death and the events that followed.
