Oyo PDP chieftain, Dare Adeleke, has sent a warm congratulatory message to Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his emergence as the National Secretary-elect of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the just-concluded National Convention held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, Adeleke said: “Indeed, our great party, the PDP, has experienced a physical and spiritual rebirth, with men of sound character and values now holding the reins.”
He said Arapaja’s emergence as National Secretary would usher in a new era where men do not “sell their souls for a morsel of bread.” According to him, “Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja is a dignified statesman who has served Nigeria at both national and state levels without blemish. His emergence as National Secretary-elect of the PDP is a sign of greater things to come. We have gone past the era of men with questionable missions to an atmosphere of solid and tested integrity. Arapaja is known as a man of peace, a unifier, a dogged fighter, and an uncompromising party man.”
“I congratulate my brother and leader, Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja, and wish him all the best in this new dispensation. I pray for God’s protection, divine guidance, and wisdom as he takes on this onerous responsibility of being one of the chosen ones to rebuild the PDP,” Adeleke said.
