Avril Lavigne performing live on stage

Avril Lavigne is set to make her first-ever appearance at Warped Tour this year. Find all the details below.

The ’Sk8er Boi’ artist will perform at one of the locations of the Vans-sponsored event, which is returning in 2025 for its first edition in six years.

Lavigne is scheduled to appear at the Washington D.C. leg, taking place at the city’s Festival Grounds At RFK Stadium between June 14 and 15. She features on the line-up alongside the likes of 3OH!3, Bowling For Soup, Beauty School Dropout, 408, Fever 333 and Of Mice & Men.

The singer-songwriter shared the news in a video announcement, in which she received a cake revealing the Warped Tour dates in icing. “Warped Tour’s coming back!” Lavigne said. “That’s right, let’s celebrate. See you soon, D.C..”

In a statement to Rolling Stone, Lavigne explained: “So many of the bands I grew up listening to got their start playing this legendary tour and many of my friends are nostalgic for those parking lot summers, so I’m excited to be a part of this new rendition.”

This first edition of Warped Tour 2025 will be followed by two more instalments in Long Beach, California (July 26-27) and Orlando, Florida (November 15-16).

Blink-182, 311, Bad Religion and The All-American Rejects all played at the last Warped Tour in 2019. Last month, 311 were announced as the first headliners of the 30th-anniversary comeback edition. They’ll appear at the California leg, but are not on the bill for the other two locations.

The news came shortly after Warped Tour revealed the first wave of performers on the line-up, including Simple Plan, Bowling For Soup, Pennywise, Miss May I, Dance Hall Crashers and Chandler Leighton.

Founder Kevin Lyman announced last autumn that the punk, pop-punk, emo and alternative rock event would be returning for 2025. He told Rolling Stone at the time: “People start remembering once something’s gone that it was important, it was fun — and I’m hoping to recapture a lot of that again.”

Lyman also said that, while his “body won’t take riding around on a tour bus” to the number of cities the tour would visit in its heyday, he’d be open to adding more dates in future years if 2025 turned out to be successful.

Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne is also due to perform at When We Were Young 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada in October. Additionally, she’ll appear at this year’s Bonnaroo as part of her ongoing ‘Greatest Hits’ tour – which visited the UK in 2024.

Lavigne will embark on “round two” of her North American ‘Greatest Hits’ tour this May.

Last summer, Lavigne played a huge set on the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2024. In a three-star review, NME described her first performance at Worthy Farm as “an unashamed nostalgia fest”. It added: “Even two decades down the line – she is still a force to be reckoned with.”
