Fayose has always been the comedian with a penchant for clownishness and crowd pleasing.
Yet, Ayo Fayose is like a man wandering the earth in search of vapour.
Why else would a former governor indulge in bemusing theatrics wherever he goes?
It is no surprise that Ayo Fayose is once again working against his own party. The word “loyalty” and Ayo Fayose cannot be used in the same sentence. It is a well-established fact that Fayose will work at cross purpose with his party, given any opportunity.
Fayose’s published statement that Tinubu told him at a meeting that the unpopular governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji should be writing his victory speech, is indeed unfortunate. Nigerians must be worried and very wary, if this is true. Is Tinubu embarking on an expansionist, feudal agenda to seize all the states in Nigeria for the APC? Is this the grand plan of the APC to hijack the 2027 general elections? Nigerians must begin to ask questions.
Fayose’s romance with President Tinubu and how he sold out his own party, the PDP during the 2023 general elections, is etched in the annals of history. That he got away with such an act of disloyalty, seems to have emboldened him to the point where he no longer hides his incongruous relationship with the opposition.
Indeed, an extended term for the APC beyond 2027 will spell doom for a people already suffering under the chaotic policies of a clueless president.
This is why Biodun Oyebanji and Ayo Fayose’s diabolical plans to override the will of the people in the 2026 elections must be rejected and not allowed to take root.
Fayose’s attempt to polarize the Ekiti PDP failed because the party in Ekiti was far ahead of him. His drum of dissonance was silenced when his attempt to divide the grassroots using monetary inducement and his infamous stomach infrastructure scheme failed him once again.
The people of Ekiti must know that their destiny is in their hands. If they want progress and development, if they want the security of life and property, if they want to eradicate the excruciating hunger imposed on them by Oyebanji and his APC party, they must reject Fayose with all their might. They must vote out Biodun Oyebanji and his nepotistic, deeply corrupt, and incompetent government.
