bb brave girls success rollin pay off heavy debt comeback 2025

BBGirls – previously known as Brave Girls – have opened up about how the success of ‘Rollin” going viral in 2021 helped them financially.

BBGirls, which consists of Minyoung, Eunji and Yuna, recently appeared as guests on the Korean music talk show Lee Young-ji’s Rainbow, where they shared how the success of ‘Rollin” going viral in 2021 helped them financially.

‘Rollin” was first released in 2017 to little fanfare. However, the song became a sleeper hit four year later, after being featured in a viral fan-edited video. Subsequently, it caused a number of their other songs, including the 2020 song ‘We Ride’, to rise up the charts in South Korean.

“‘We Ride’ and ‘Rollin” made us who are were, and we really went around the nation with these two songs. We can probably say we did a nationwide tour,” the band shared, as translated by Koreaboo.

“‘Rollin” came out in 2017, but someone made a video of it in 2021. Thanks to that, we were able to see the light. And it became a hit after all that time, resulting in us coming here today,” they added, recalling how they “went from having zero schedules to becoming super busy in just a day”.

The trio even spoke about how they even shot 25 commercials for brands across the country in the span of three months following their overnight success. “It was such a miracle. We were able to pay off the heavy debt we had [to the company], and we were able to give our parents cars, pay back student loans and help out our families,” BBGirls told Lee Young-ji.

BBGirls most recently made a comeback with single album ‘Love 2’, marking their first music in a year and a half and since Youjung left the group last year. Their last release was August 2023’s ‘One More Time’.

‘Love 2”s release also marked the band’s first music since their contracts with Warner Music Korea expired in April 2024. After parting ways with the label, he band launched their own independent label called BB Girls Company, and later signed exclusive contracts with GLG Entertainment for further activities in December 2024.
