Charlie Puth has begged Kanye West to stop promoting “incredibly dangerous” messages and called out the rapper for selling a Swastika tee.
Over the past weekend, West – now known as Ye – shared a series of bizarre and controversial tweets he posted on X/twitter before his account was deactivated. The rapper and fashion mogul launched a string of controversial posts that saw him withdraw his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments, as well as declaring himself as “a Nazi”.
He had also tweeted “I love Hitler”, praised billionaire and X-owner Elon Musk as “the most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitter” and claimed that all other people look up to him. Musk himself had drawn criticism and allegations of Nazism earlier this year when he made two Nazi-like gestures during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.
Ye also wiped his Yeezy website except for a single item that was on sale – a white t-shirt with a large swastika on the chest listed as “HH-01”. The garment was priced at $20, with the listing’s name of “HH-01” possibly a reference to the ‘Heil Hitler’ chant that would accompany Nazi gestures.

Last night (February 10), Puth took to his official Instagram Stories and directly tagged Ye while sharing a statement that read: “The message you are sending out to the world is incredibly dangerous. Please man, I beg you to stop. You are selling a T shirt with a Swastika on it, and MILLIONS of people are influenced by you. Please I BEG you to stop, PLEASE.”
Friends star David Schwimmer had previously called on action to be taken against rapper for his hate-filled “Nazi” posts, arguing that “silence is complicity”.
That was not the only item Ye was selling. Prior to the release of the offensive t-shirt, the ‘Heartless’ hitmaker was also slammed for selling a hoodie seemingly identical to the one Cassie wore when disgraced rap mogul Diddy was captured on film assaulting her in 2016.
The ‘Carnival’ artist posted an image of what he dubbed the “LOVE HOODIE” side by side with a screenshot of footage from the incident. Obtained and published by CNN in March, the video appeared to show Diddy beating his former partner Cassie, and throwing an unidentified object at her from a nearby table.
The footage aligned with testimony the singer had previously given in a lawsuit filed against the rap mogul, in which she claimed Diddy “became extremely intoxicated and punched [her] in the face” at the hotel, then followed her into the hallway and throwing glass vases at her after she tried to leave when he was asleep.
Social media users have called West’s move to use that incident to sell hoodies “beyond evil” and “possibly the worst thing he’s done“. Per The Standard, Ye also shared a post that read: “Hey question if someone were to beat up their girlfriend in public, would that be considered domestic violence, or is that outdoor violence, or is it just public indecency? ….Im just asking for a friend.”
A spokesperson for Campaign Against Anti-Semitism previously shared a statement in regards to Ye’s antisemitic rant on X/Twitter which read: “Once again, Ye has gone on an antisemitic rampage online. It couldn’t be any clearer that he is an unrepentant, proud antisemite. More people have viewed these posts than there are Jews on the planet.”
At this very moment, @kanyewest is going on yet another antisemitic rampage.

“It is obvious that Ye has not learned his lesson the first time, when Adidas ended its partnership with him, following our call to do so,” the statement continued. “At a time of unprecedented antisemitism, there can be no mistaking this incitement for exactly what it is. We call on Elon Musk to remove him from X.”
In other news, Ye recently revealed that he’s a fan of Kendrick Lamar‘s recent Super Bowl Halftime Show, calling it his “favourite” since Michael Jackson‘s iconic 1993 performance.
