The Chairman, PDP Caretaker Committee, Ekiti, Hon. Dare Adeleke has sent a message of condolences to the family of Chief Yekini Adeojo who passed Thursday morning.
Noting his close relationship with Chief Yekini, who was an Uncle to him, Adeleke said the late Chief Adeojo was more than just a political icon, he was a pillar of strength and integrity.
His message reads:
It is with a deeply heavy heart that I mourn the passing of my dear uncle, Chief Yekini Adeojo, a towering figure in the political, business, and religious life of our nation. His death, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, April 4, at his residence in Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan, has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts and in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he served with exceptional dedication and distinction.
Chief Adeojo was more than just a political icon, he was a pillar of strength and integrity. As One of the founding fathers of PDP and former Chairman NCAA and a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of our great party, his wisdom, resilience, and tireless efforts helped lay the foundation upon which our party continues to stand. His contributions to the democratic development of the South-West, and indeed Nigeria, will never be forgotten.
As the revered Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Uncle Yekini was also a spiritual and cultural beacon whose legacy transcended politics. His life of service and commitment to the wellbeing of others exemplified leadership rooted in compassion and faith.

We have lost a mentor, a guide, and a symbol of stability. For me personally, this is not just the passing of a political titan; it is the loss of a beloved uncle, my mentor and father figure,
whose counsel and support I cherished dearly.
I extend my deepest condolences to all his children and to the entire Adeojo family.
I also send my sympathies to Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire people of Oyo State on the passing of such an illustrious son. This indeed is a national loss.
May Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus and give us all the strength to bear this monumental loss.
Signed,
Hon. Dare Adeleke
Chairman, PDP Caretaker Committee
