Hon. Adedeji Olajide (OdidiOmo), the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Digital Information, Communication Technology, and Cyber Security and a foremost leader of the PDP in Oyo State, has described the late Chief Yekini Adeojo as a pillar of the political evolution of Oyo State.
“I received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Chief Yekinni Adeojo, a revered statesman, accomplished businessman, religious leader, and a pillar in the political evolution of our dear Oyo State and the nation at large.” He said.
Hon Oladeji stated further, “Chief Adeojo was not only a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State but also a symbol of commitment, resilience, and dedication to the ideals of democracy. As the former Deputy National Chairman (South) of our great party, his wisdom, leadership, and guidance were instrumental in shaping the PDP’s presence and strength across the South-West.
“His contributions extended far beyond politics. He was a respected religious leader who helped to shape and reshape ethics and values of our society. As the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Chief Adeojo was a beacon of faith, unity, and moral leadership within the religious community. His life was one of service; to his people, his faith, and his beloved Ibadan where he was born and raised.
OdidiOmo noted that: “Chief Adeojo’s transition marks the end of an era. He was a stabilizing force, a father figure to many, and a man whose legacy of service and integrity will continue to inspire generations to come.”
The lawmaker extended his heartfelt condolences to the entire family of Chief Adeojo, particularly Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, and all those who were touched by Chief Adeojo’s life and leadership.
He also consoled the Governor or Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde and the entire people of Oyo State on the passing of such an eminent and distinguished son of the land: “Oyo has indeed lost a most eminent and distinguished elder statesman whose contribution to the state and nation are irreplaceable. I extend my sympathy to the Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State, at this time.”
“May the Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus and give his family the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.” Olajide, who represents Representatives, Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, said.
