A Customs officer, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC) Lawal Tukur, has been found dead in a hotel room in Katsina metropolis under circumstances that have raised public concern.

According to reports, the incident occurred at Murjani Hotel, where the late officer had checked in alongside three women identified as Khadija Ali, Aisha Lawal, and Hafsat Yusuf.

Sources disclosed that hotel staff discovered Tukur’s lifeless body after noticing an unusual delay in checking out. The three women were reportedly present at the time of lodging, though the exact details surrounding the officer’s death remain unclear.

Authorities have since taken the women into custody for questioning as investigations continue to determine the cause of death. The Katsina State Police Command and the Nigeria Customs Service have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.

Tukur’s death has sparked shock among colleagues and residents, with many calling for a thorough probe to uncover the truth behind the tragic occurrence.
