PDP chieftain and Chairman of the Ekiti PDP Caretaker Committee, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has commended Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for the seamless coordination and unity displayed during the PDP South-West Zonal Congress.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, April 17, 2025, Hon. Adeleke described the teamwork between the two governors as “truly heartwarming and a remarkable moment for democracy.” He emphasized that the unity they exhibited would significantly strengthen the PDP in the zone and position the party for victory in upcoming elections.
“The PDP Zonal Congress, held in Ibadan, Oyo State, and hosted by our two hardworking and exemplary governors, His Excellency Seyi Makinde and His Excellency Ademola Adeleke, demonstrates that the PDP is poised for electoral success,” he stated. “The successful collaboration between our winning governors signals that the South-West PDP has never been as united as it is today.”
Adeleke further noted, “The hitch-free conduct of the congress proves there are no discordant voices within our ranks. We are heading into future contests with a shared spirit that will ensure overwhelming success at all levels.”
He also congratulated the re-elected PDP South-West Zonal Chairman, Mr. Kamorudeen Ajisafe, along with all newly elected executive members.
Additionally, Adeleke extended his best wishes to Chief Adeola Ogunrinde (National Ex-Officio from Ekiti State), Chief Sanya Adefarti (Zonal Publicity Secretary), and Chief Mrs. Lanre Fajuyi. He also congratulated Alhaja Mudijat Abosede Adedibu (Zonal Women Leader) and Mrs. Mosunmola Oluwakemi Bello (National Ex-Officio Member) on their re-elections.
The well-attended event took place at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. It featured the presence of several party stalwarts, including a PDP founding father and the pioneer National vice chairman SouthWest and former Deputy National Chairman of the party.
