Oyo PDP chieftain, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has congratulated Ambassador Arapaja Oladejo Taofeek on his nomination as the consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the party’s forthcoming national convention.
Adeleke noted that as Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Arapaja distinguished himself through dignity, integrity, hard work, and his unique ability to unite rather than divide.
He stressed that Arapaja’s adoption as the consensus candidate reflects the party’s deep trust in his capacity to help restore the PDP to its rightful place at the top of Nigeria’s political landscape.
According to Adeleke, “We are all standing by you, as we have always done. With the support of our indefatigable governor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, victory is already assured.”
He added that Ambassador Arapaja’s unflinching loyalty and dedication to the party, both at the national and state levels, are key reasons behind his adoption and the firm support he continues to enjoy from party members.
Adeleke also commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering foresight, diplomacy, and purposeful leadership, which, he said, have kept the PDP united and strong in the state.
“I must thank and commend His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, That Seyi Makinde, our leader in the South West, for his visionary leadership; shepherding PDP members through all seasons and maintaining a united flock, while others struggled to keep theirs together,” he stated.
Concluding, Adeleke declared confidently: “We will collectively deliver Arapaja as National Secretary. Consider it a done deal.”
