Fans knew the pop star would be attending the game to support boyfriend Travis Kelce after an interview emerged with the athlete’s brother – former Philadelphia Eagles centre, Jason Kelce, in which he said “obviously, our whole family” would be there.
After the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer was shown on the jumbotron at the event, the crowd erupted in boos, and she was seen glancing around at those in her suite – among them Ice Spice and the Haim sisters, Este, Danielle, and Alana – and asking: “What’s going on?”
While some fans on social media tactfully speculated the reason and landed on “Taylor Swift fatigue”, the president gloated: “The world is healing!”

Last night (February 9), Trump became the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl in person, which seemingly went over well with the crowd who cheered him. After the event, he posted on his Truth Social platform, sharing a post from the “Libs of TikTok” account which read, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.”
His jab at Swift follows a previous admission that he “hates” her. He had once again taken to his Truth Social account last year to share the brash update: “I hate Taylor Swift”.
It came after Swift broke her silence on the US elections back in September, following the first debate between Kamala Harris and Trump. In an update shared with her 284million Instagram followers at the time, she threw her support behind former Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

In the post, she championed Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader”, writing that she believed “we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos”. She signed off the post as Taylor Swift, “Childless Cat Lady”– a nod to a remark made by JD Vance, Trump’s candidate for vice president, in 2021.
While Trump poked fun at the frosty reception she received last night, Serena Williams, who joined Kendrick Lamar during his Halftime Show, showed her support of the singer on social media: “I love you @taylorswift 13 don’t listen to those boos!!!” she wrote in a post on X/ Twitter.
Lamar made history at the event – becoming the first solo rapper to headline the massive showcase. As well as Williams, he also brought out a number of special guests for the performance, including SZA and Samuel L. Jackson.
