Condolence Message from Hon. Dare Adeleke to Erelu Olusola Obada
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend my heartfelt condolences to our eminent, Erelu Olusola Obada, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, on the passing of her beloved husband, Dr. Felix Babatunde Obada.
Uncle Tunde Obada was a very kindhearted uncle to me. I condole with my mother, Erelu Olusola Obada. I also commensurate with their children and grand – children.
The life of late Dr. Obada is an exemplary one that will always inspire generations to come. He was a distinguished Nigerian, a fine technocrat, and a trailblazer whose invaluable contributions to our nation will be remembered for generations. His meritorious service as a top executive at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was marked by professionalism, dedication, and patriotism.
While the Nigerian people bemoaned the cost of governance in the country, Dr. Obada went to work, not only unearthing the problem but also providing lasting solutions.
A pioneer of e-governance in Nigeria and Managing Director of e-Governance Strategy Limited, Mr. Obada broke new grounds in strategic communication and technological innovation within public administration. It is to his credit that government was able to navigate how to significantly reduce expenditure and promote transparency. This is proof of Dr. Obada ‘s visionary intellect and enduring commitment to national development.
Nigeria has lost a rare gem, and Osun State has lost one of its brightest minds. I commiserate deeply with Governor Ademola Adeleke and the good people of Osun State as we all mourn this monumental loss.
May the Almighty grant Erelu Olusola Obada the strength to bear this painful loss, and may the soul of the dearly departed rest in perfect peace.
Signed
Hon. Dare Adeleke
