Leaders and members of the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are urgently calling attention to the alleged manipulation of the party’s primary process. They warn against influential figures, including a serving senator and former governor, attempting to impose a predetermined and unpopular candidate, Hon Idahosa, on the party. The concerned members highlight the potential negative impact on the party’s chances in the upcoming September 21, 2024, governorship election. They specifically urge the National Working Committee and key stakeholders to intervene and prevent a repeat of past disruptions caused by similar interventions in candidate selection.
