Oyo PDP chieftain, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has described the suspension of the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Capt. Umar Bature, as “a mercy too lenient for a treacherous and devious character.”

Speaking to reporters on Saturday following the announcement of Bature’s suspension, Adeleke fumed:

“Suspension is too lenient for such a man to whom treachery and deviousness are second nature. Myself and many others are calling for his expulsion from the party for gross misconduct and anti-party activities.”

He continued, describing Bature as “a dangerous mole in the PDP, who shamelessly tried to sell the soul of the party to Wike and his cohorts.”

Adeleke maintained that the action was long overdue:

“The suspension of this deviant is long overdue. We insist he must be expelled immediately.”

He went further to accuse Bature of being compromised:

“I can attest to the fact that he has been collecting money from the APC in exchange for disrupting the PDP for the benefit of his paymasters.”

Adeleke likened Bature to a parasite feeding off the party’s lifeblood:

“A mole is worse than a leech – a parasite sucking the life of the party. That’s why Bature must be sent away for the PDP to rejuvenate and heal.”

Commending the PDP National Executive for what he called “a smart and bold move,” Adeleke praised the leadership for taking decisive steps toward the party’s rebirth:

“This is an affirmation that truly, the PDP is on its way to full recovery.”

He concluded with a rallying call:

“We must throw away every albatross like Umar Bature if we want the PDP to stabilize and face the failed APC headlong come 2027.”
