Kratos from 'God Of War' and Finn Wolfhard.

Finn Wolfhard has revealed he’d love to star in a God Of War adaptation, playing titular god Kratos.

Speaking to PlayStation as part of their Playmakers campaign, the Stranger Things star revealed that he was a “big gamer” when he wasn’t acting. “There’s something nice about being able to put yourself in a different world. I’ve been playing PlayStation games for my entire life so to be someone representing PlayStation is pretty amazing,” he said.

He went on to reveal that his favourite games are Final Fantasy 10 and anything from the PS2 era. “I’m a big fan of platformers, the last game I beat was Astro Bot, it was so fun but I also love shooters,” he continued.

He then said his favourite soundtrack comes via 2018’s Shadow Of The Colossus, LittleBigPlanet is the gaming universe he’d most like to live in and Bloodborne is the hardest game he’s ever owned. “I couldn’t really play it after a while because I got so frustrated, I just had to set the controller aside,” he added.

When asked what video game adaptation he’d love to star in, Wolfhard said: “It would be cool to be in a God Of War movie but as the scrawny son. No, you know what, as Kratos. I’d bulk up.”

Sharing the interview on Instagram, he added: “Might be time for bulking season if I’m going to be the next Kratos. Playstation, where do I sign up?!”

Kratos is the main protagonist of the long-running God Of War franchise and regularly does battle with both Greek and Norse gods. However, it’s rumoured the next God Of War game could take place in ancient Egypt after Kratos’ story was seemingly wrapped up in God Of War Ragnarok.

Elsewhere in the interview, Finn Wolfhard revealed that he “plays a lot of games with Gaten Matarazzo,” who plays Dustin in Stranger Things adding: “We played It Takes Two together, which was really fun.”

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things wrapped filming at the end of last year. “We had a long last year. We shot sort of Lord Of The Rings style with a year-long shoot. It was a great way to go out and very intense. I feel like it couldn’t have ended better,” he said in a recent interview.
