Dr Omololu Olunloyo, former Governor of Oyo State, has passed away at the age of 89. His family confirmed the news in a brief statement on Sunday, announcing that he died at 1:40 a.m. on April 6, 2025.
“Omololu Olunloyo passed on to eternal glory at 1:40 a.m. on the 6th of April 2025. We thank God for a life well spent. May the Lord Jesus rest his soul,” the statement read.
Dr Olunloyo was widely respected for his contributions to governance and public service in Nigeria.
