Peter Murphy and Trent Reznor

Bauhaus‘ Peter Murphy and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor have teamed up on pulsing new single ‘Swoon’ – check it out below.

The track, which is taken from Murphy’s forthcoming solo album ‘Silver Shade’, due out May 9 via Metropolis Entertainment, follows on from his previous collaboration with Boy George, ‘Let The Flowers Grow‘.

Murphy said of the new collaboration: “I am both in the state of swoon as are my audience when witnessing my live performance. Trent Reznor cordially accepted my invitation to appear on the song, adding a welcome vibe on the second verse, as well as throughout the entire song in the form of backing vocalising.”

The duo have a long standing friendship, with Reznor band’s opening for Murphy’s ‘Deep’ tour back in 1990. Murphy’s last full-length release was 2014’s ‘Lion’.

Elsewhere, Nine Inch Nails recently announced their 2025 UK, European and North American ‘Peel It Back’ tour. It marks the band’s first live performances together since 2022.

NIN will begin the tour at Dublin’s 3Arena on June 15 ahead of further gigs at Manchester’s Co-op Live (17) and The O2 in London (18).

From there, they’ll head to Europe for concerts in Cologne, Dessel, Zurich, Berlin, Paris and other cities throughout the month and into early July. Additionally, Nine Inch Nails have been confirmed as headliners for NOS Alive in Lisbon and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.

The North American leg is scheduled to kick off in Oakland, California on August 6. Dates will follow in cities such as Portland, Vancouver, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, New York, Nashville, Houston and Los Angeles. You can purchase any remaining US tickets here and UK tickets here.
