Governor Prince Bassey Otu has recently named Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche, the current Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, as his new Chief Press Secretary (CPS).
The announcement was made through a statement issued on Monday by Dr Innocent Eteng, Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Comrade Ogbeche, a well-respected journalist and unionist, has been serving as the Editor-at-large for THE WHISTLER, an online newspaper published by The Whistler Communications Limited, prior to his appointment.
Additionally, he is currently serving his second term as the FCT Council NUJ Chairman in Abuja.
The press statement also conveyed other significant appointments, including Prof Anthony Owan-Enoh as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon Emmanuel Ironbark as the Chief of Staff to the Governor, and Major-General Okoi Ubi Obono (rtd) as the Senior Special Adviser-Security (State Security Adviser).
Furthermore, the list of appointees includes AIG John Abang (rtd) as the Special Adviser-Security (Central), Mr Achu Ben Olayi as the Special Adviser-Security (North), Commander Patrick Odiong as the Special Adviser-Security (South), and Mr Sylvester Otu Abang as the Acting State Chief of Protocol.
All of these appointments are effective immediately.
