Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has finally been revealed, bringing fans their first look at life in Rockstar Games‘ fictional version of Florida. The trailer has already racked up millions of views in the year since its reveal, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next one. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed, we know roughly when we’ll be getting our hands on the upcoming crime sandbox game.

‘GTA 6’ release date for PS5, Xbox Series X|S
The GTA 6 release date is set for Fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This was announced during Take-Two Interactive’s earnings call in May 2024.
As part of the game’s first trailer, Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 will launch in 2025, with many speculating it would arrive in Spring 2025. Unfortunately, that turned out to not be the case and we will have to wait a little while longer for the Fall release.
As for which consoles GTA 6 will release on, Rockstar has announced that the next Grand Theft Auto game will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch.
When could the ‘GTA 6’ PC release date be?
However, there has been no mention of a PC version of GTA 6. This suggests that, in line with Rockstar’s launches of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 will likely be released on PC after it has already launched on consoles. Based on these launches, it’s possible that it could take a year or more for GTA 6 to launch on PC in 2026 or 2027. However, Rockstar has yet to confirm whether this will be the case.
When will the next ‘GTA 6’ trailer release?
In reality, we don’t know when the next GTA 6 trailer will be released. Rockstar has been virtually silent since December 2023, and there isn’t much to go off of, besides a number of bogus rumours and fake leaks.
If we were to guess, the next GTA 6 trailer will probably release in Spring 2025. Red Dead Redemption 2‘s second main trailer after the teaser was released just a few short months before the game came out, so that seems the most plausible.
