single's inferno final couples season 4 contestants

Netflix’s hit dating reality series Single’s Inferno has just wrapped up its final episodes for the fourth season – here are all the couples who successfully left Inferno in season four. Expect spoilers for the series ahead.

Single’s Inferno follows a group of singles as they live together on a remote island dubbed Inferno, where they try to find love while keeping their personal details hidden from one other. The only way to make it off the island and get themselves to Paradise, which is characterised by luxurious hotel suites, is to find romance by pairing themselves with another contestant.

On February 11, the final two episodes for season four premiere on Netflix, marking the conclusion to the popular dating show’s brand-new season. The male contestants were asked to walk toward the lady they wanted to leave the island with, resulting in a total of four successful pairs. As a result, two male and three female contestants ended the season without partners – Kim Jeong-su, Jang Theo, Chung You-jin, Park Hae-lin and Kim Min-seol.

Here are the couples who left Inferno together on Single’s Inferno season four:

25-year-old spatial designer Bae Ji-yeon ultimately chose Kim Tae-hwan, a 31-year-old DJ. Although she had shown some hesitation about the true nature of his feelings for her, Tae-hwan chose Ji-yeon and successfully left Inferno with her.

An Jong-hoon and Kim Hye-jin

Business owner and restaurateur An Jong-hoon and model Kim Hye-jin chose each other, leaving the island together. Notably, Ji-yeon was one of the female contestants who voted for Jong-hoon as the male game-changer in previous episodes of the season.

Kook Dong-ho and Kim A-rin

In spite of Kook Dong-ho’s popularity on the set of season four, the 30-year-old accountant and 25-year-old model Kim A-rin wrapped up the finale by choosing each other. Dong-ho was caught in a love triangle with A-rin and Park Hae-lin, who also selected him as her final choice. However, Dong-ho has made it clear to Hae-lin that he was most interested in A-rin and was not likely to change his mind.

Yuk Jun-seo and Lee Si-an

Lee Si-an emerged as the star of season four, with three contestants vying for her by the season finale: Yuk Jun-seo, Kim Jeong-su and Jang Theo. All three men named Si-an as their final choice, however selected Jun-seo as her partner for Paradise.

Producer Kim Jae-won revealed in an interview with TIME that he was personally “quite perplexed” by Si-an’s final choice. “When you see the last episode, I can tell you that [Si-an] was very serious about her choice, and she considered all the aspects and made the right choice for her,” he added.

Here are the contestants who were left single on Single’s Inferno season four:

Jang Theo

Theo has made his feelings for Lee Si-an clear throughout the season, despite her telling him she didn’t reciprocate them. Despite this, he ended his stint on the show by picking her as his final choice for Paradise, and ended up being left single on the island.

Kim Jeong-su

Entrepreneur Kim Jeong-su was one of three male contestants who chose Lee Si-an as their final choice, and was in close competition with Yuk Jun-seo in the final few episodes of season four. However, Si-an picked Jun-seo as her partner with a last minute decision, leaving Jeong-su single on Inferno.

Chung You-jin

You-jin had potential with several contestants throughout the season, namely with Dong-ho, Jun-seo, Jong-hoon and Jeong-su. She had gone to Paradise with Jun-seo first, but was shut down. Despite her possibilities with the other contestants, they weren’t afforded enough time to get to know each other, resulting in her remaining on Inferno alone.

“We didn’t have as many love lines as we would have wanted,” says show producer Kim Jae-won of You-jin in an interview with TIME. “She’s a very attractive contestant, and she’s always frank about her emotions. I think she’s really fit for a dating show, but because we didn’t give her enough time to explore the options that she had, I think that’s a pity.”

Park Hae-lin

Hae-lin was one of the mid-season additions to the cast, as a former K-pop idol trainee. She had gone on dates with Jeong-su and Dong-ho, even forming a friendship with the latter, however her feelings were revealed to be one-sided after Dong-ho turned her down and left for Paradise with A-rin.

Kim Min-seol

Despite winning over the emcee panel for this season, Min-seol was unable to leave Inferno by its end. She developed feelings for Jun-seo over the course of the show, however his interest in Si-an eventually won him over. She still picks him as her final choice, even with the knowledge that he would not reciprocate.
