The second season of Solo Leveling is airing on Crunchyroll now, but how many seasons will there be? Read on for all we know so far.

Based on the Korean web novel by Chugong, the hit anime series takes place in a realm of gifted hunters and monsters. In this world, weak hunter Sung Jinwoo is given extraordinary strength through a mysterious programme, which kickstarts a journey across the various dungeons to discover the true source of his power.

The show is produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, with Noboru Kimura writing the scripts, Tomoko Sudo designing the characters and Hiroyuji Sawano composing the music.

The second season will run for 13 episodes in full, with the first having arrived on the streaming service on January 5 and subsequent instalments arriving every Sunday.

The official synopsis for the second season reads: “Jinwoo has become a formidable necromancer with an army of loyal shadows at his command. But he must master these abilities while keeping them hidden from other hunters, all while racing against the clock to save his mother. As he faces humanity’s toughest foes, Jinwoo pushes his body and mind to the limit, and the full extent of his newfound power is revealed.”

In anticipation of the release of the second season, a new Solo Leveling: ReAwakening film was released in cinemas in early December. The feature-length movie, which was available with subtitles and dubbed in English, summarised the first season and offered a sneak peek at the first two episodes of the upcoming season.

How many seasons of Solo Leveling will there be?

With the second season currently midway through and expected to reach its climax on March 30, the ending will doubtless leave anime fans anxious about the future of the show.

Neither A-1 Pictures nor Crunchyroll have made any official comments on a third season of the show, and it remains unknown how many further seasons there may be of Solo Leveling.

It is thought by those who follow the show, however, that the third season may be the final instalment of the saga, based on how the show has so far aligned with the original web novels and manhwa.

Based on the turnaround between the first and second seasons, which were separated by roughly nine months, fans of the show might expect the third season to premiere in the early months of 2026, although this has not been confirmed.
