Chief Bode George has sharply criticized the growing internal conflicts within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), urging its disenchanted members to consider defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) instead of hindering progress with continual infighting.

Appearing on Arise TV’s The Morning Show on Thursday, the PDP chieftain denounced the recent factional disputes, particularly the clashes over the scheduled National Electoral Committee (NEC) meeting, calling the internal squabbles a self-defeating distraction. “If you find the PDP no longer suits you, the APC door is wide open,” he declared. “But don’t stand in our way by perpetuating unproductive conflicts.”

Emphasizing that the PDP is a collective entity, not the property of any single leader, Chief George warned that such persistent discord could erode the party’s unity. His comments came as various factions prepared for a showdown ahead of the national meetings scheduled for next week.

Looking ahead to Monday’s National Working Committee session, he expressed confidence that the PDP’s Board of Trustees would step in to resolve the disputes and restore order. “At our meeting, the Board of Trustees will have the final say to settle these issues once and for all,” he affirmed.

Insiders expect that the upcoming session will confront leadership challenges, address longstanding membership grievances, and refine the party’s strategy in anticipation of the next general election. All eyes will be on whether the Board of Trustees can transform Chief George’s optimism into tangible reforms.
