Passengers aboard an Air Peace flight from Abuja to Asaba narrowly escaped a potential disaster today after the aircraft reportedly suffered an engine failure while preparing for take-off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to sources at the airport, the incident occurred shortly before the plane was cleared for departure. The flight crew immediately halted the take-off sequence and initiated safety procedures to ensure the well-being of everyone on board.
No injuries or damage were reported, and all passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft. Airport authorities and Air Peace engineers are said to be investigating the cause of the malfunction.
Normal operations at the airport have since resumed.
