Lady Gaga is set to return to Saturday Night Live (SNL) soon, where she’ll be pulling double duty – find out more below.

Next month (March 7), Lady Gaga is due to release her highly anticipated seventh studio album ‘Mayhem’, following on from 2020’s ‘Chromatica’ and her ‘Harlequin’ companion record (2024). You can pre-order/pre-save your copy of the album here.

To celebrate, Gaga will be hosting SNL the day after (March 8), and will also perform as the show’s musical guest. It will mark her fifth time performing on the long-running sketch comedy show, and her second stint as host.

The announcement of Gaga’s double duty on SNL next month comes just a few days after Gaga teamed up with Andy Samberg for a surprise medley of Lonely Island hits on SNL‘s 50th anniversary concert last weekend, which included ‘Dick In A Box’.

As for the build to ‘Mayhem’, Gaga has released three singles so far: ‘Die With A Smile’ with Bruno Mars‘Disease’ and ‘Abracadabra’. Yesterday, she revealed the album’s full collection of songs, which will include a feature from DJ and producer Gesaffelsteincheck out the album’s full tracklist here.

Gaga recently opened up about the “true chaos” that fans can expect from ‘Mayhem’. She said she was “just trying to push as much sound as possible” with the album. She explained that she wanted the LP to capture the feeling of struggling “to see the light” before something more positive happens.

“There’s other moments where it’s all about love, and it’s super dreamy,” she added. “That, to me, is true chaos. There are times when it’s hard to see the light, but I think sometimes what makes inner chaos harder is when you sometimes get a glimpse of the sun, because you’re like, ‘Man, I wish the sun would shine all the time’, and then it reminds you of what you’re missing.”

The singer has also described the new record as “chaotic”, “genre-bending” and “very fun”. “When I write and produce and sing songs, I am always drawing upon my knowledge of the history of music, and so many artists and producers that came before me,” she said. “In that way, this album is a celebration of a lot of the music that made me who I am, because when I returned to a darker pop style of pop, all my early experiences with music came out.”

Elsewhere, she is also set to headline Coachella 2025 in April, alongside Post Malone and Green Day.
