Lucy Dacus has shared a new single, ‘Best Guess’, and announced a UK and European tour for later this year. Listen and find all the details below.
The song is the third preview of the Boygenius member’s fourth solo album ‘Forever Is A Feeling’, which is to arrive on March 28 via Polydor/Geffen (pre-order/pre-save here).
On the delicate, romantic tune, Dacus sings: “Clasping your necklace / Zipping your dress / Hands on your waist / Kissing your neck / I love your body / I love your mind / They will change / So will mine.”
Telling her partner that the pair belong together in the chorus, she adds: “You are my best guess / At the future / You are my best guess / If I were a gambling man, and I am / You’d be my best bet.”
‘Best Guess’ is described as Dacus’ “unique take on a love song, an anthem of queer tenderness that captures that mix of excitement and uncertainty as two people take a romantic chance with one another”.
The single is accompanied by a self-directed official music video, starring Cara Delevingne, Towa Bird, MUNA‘s Naomi Mcpherson and more. Reflecting the song’s lyrics, the visuals see Dacus and her friends gathered around a casino table.
Additionally, the clip features a cast of other “hot mascs” that Dacus recruited through a social media open casting call early last month, as the musician subverts a ’90s Calvin Klein advert. Watch here:
Dacus has also announced a run of UK and European shows for this summer, including a performance at the O2 Academy Brixton on June 26 – the Thursday of Glastonbury Festival 2025. The artist is currently available to appear at Worthy Farm on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

In a previous statement about the LP, Dacus explained: “I got kicked in the head with emotions. Falling in love, falling out of love. You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.
“You can’t actually capture forever. But I think we feel forever in moments. I don’t know how much time I’ve spent in forever, but I know I’ve visited.”
