The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command discredited false reports of a kidnapping incident at River Park Estate, Abuja, on Saturday, January 20.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, clarified in a statement that Nnandi Agu from Games Village orchestrated a fake kidnapping to defraud his brother within the estate.
Adeh stated, “Contrary to reports, nobody was kidnapped in River Park Estate. The suspect is currently in police custody undergoing interrogation.
Further developments will be communicated as the investigation progresses.”
