Former Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokuedike), has dismissed rumours about his wellbeing, describing them as baseless and mischievous.
In a personal message to Ndi Anambra, friends, and supporters, Obiano said he woke up to disturbing claims circulating about his health but felt compelled to address them directly.
“Let me assure you personally: I am alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health,”
Obiano stated.
“By the special grace of God, I am doing very well.”
Expressing disappointment over the source of the rumours, he noted that some individuals continue to derive satisfaction from spreading falsehood for reasons that remain unclear.
“It is unfortunate that some individuals still find joy in spreading falsehood simply for reasons yet to be established. But we will continue to rise above such mischief,”
he said.
The former governor extended heartfelt gratitude to those who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers following the rumour.
“To everyone who reached out with calls, messages, and prayers, I sincerely appreciate your concern. Your love and goodwill mean more than words can express.”
Obiano urged the public to completely disregard the rumour, assuring that he remains focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace.
He concluded his message with a note of gratitude to Ndi Anambra:
“Daalu nu, and may God bless you all.”
