• Ola Williams, Abuja:

Abuja is gearing up for a major demonstration tomorrow as activist and political figure Omoyele Sowore mobilizes Nigerians for the #FearlessInOctober rally at Eagle Square. The protest, which has gained significant traction on social media, is scheduled to begin early, with participants encouraged to gather at the venue by 7 a.m.

Sowore, in a tweet that has sparked widespread attention, stated, “Early morning tomorrow, everyone in Abuja will start heading to Eagle Square as early as 7 a.m. for #FearlessInOctober.”

The trending hashtag reflects a bold call for Nigerians to rise against the pressing issues facing the nation, including economic hardship, insecurity, political oppression, and governance failures. The rally has drawn support from a wide cross-section of the population, especially youth and civil society organizations.

This protest is the latest in a series of demonstrations led by Sowore, who has previously organized movements such as #RevolutionNow, aimed at pushing for systemic reforms in Nigeria. Known for his vocal criticism of government mismanagement, Sowore continues to call for a transformation of the Nigerian political landscape.

The #FearlessInOctober rally is expected to draw thousands of participants, with many citizens fed up with the persistent challenges facing the country. Frustrations over rising fuel prices, inflation, unemployment, and the government’s lack of transparency are expected to fuel a strong turnout at the event.

Sowore’s call to action has ignited hope among Nigerians for a platform to voice their discontent and demand change, with grassroots movements and civil society leading the charge for accountability and reform.
