Oyo PDP chieftain, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has applauded the party for the suspension of Nyesom Wike, Ayo Fayose, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, Umar Bature and several others.
Adeleke, who described their expulsion as “good riddance to bad rubbish,” said: “These people were moles in the PDP, working for the APC while causing division and disunity within party ranks.
“Their disloyalty had been tolerated for far too long, but thankfully, their treachery did not decimate the PDP. Instead, it exposed them for who they truly are – men of shady and perfidious character, solely driven by selfish interests.”
“You will all recall that I have proposed Fayose’s expulsion – for anti-party activities several times, I am so glad it has come to reality. I am deeply joyful.
“I had also brought to the attention of the party and public my belief that Wike is being aided by Tinubu to turn Nigeria into a one party state and to harass the residents of the FCT – to instill fears in them, so that he could easily rig elections. That strategy too, is falling like a pack of cards.
Also, remember I advised the party to expel Umar Bature, today, the highest decision body has passed the judgement on him and other anti-democratic forces that were determined to destroy the PDP”, Adeleke added.
He further stressed: “I am rejoicing with this landmark decision to expel the APC members from the PDP. Enough is enough.”
According to him: “the overwhelming support for the ratification of their expulsion shows that members are in full agreement, and their nefarious activities have come to an end within the PDP.”
“It is now time to refocus and rebuild the party,” he told reporters at the convention ground.
