Red Velvet‘s Seulgi has announced her sophomore mini-album, titled ‘Accidentally On Purpose’.
Red Velvet’s Seulgi and her label SM Entertainment dropped the announcement on February 18 at midnight KST, unveiling teaser photos and a schedule for the project’s promotional rollouts leading up to its full release. Titled ‘Accidentally On Purpose’, the mini-album is due out in full on March 10 at 6pm KST.
‘Accidentally On Purpose’ will be Seulgi’s sophomore mini-album, as well as her first solo release since she renewed her contract with longtime label SM Entertainment in 2023. Further details, including the record’s tracklist and lead single, are to be expected in the coming weeks.

‘Accidentally On Purpose’ is the long-awaited follow-up to her debut solo mini-album ’28 Reasons’, which came out in 2022. The new release was first confirmed by her label back in November 2024, via an earnings report published by the company that included a music line-up preview for the following year.
Back in 2022, NME‘s Rhian Daly gave ’28 Reasons’ a glowing five-star review: “Seulgi has long proved herself as an intoxicating and masterful performer in Red Velvet, and now, she’s ready to apply that experience to her own shining moment. On ‘28 Reasons’, she burns brighter than ever.”
Aside from her upcoming solo release, Seulgi is also gearing up for a comeback with bandmate Irene as part of their sub-unit. SM Entertainment unveiled in a separate earnings report published earlier this month that she and Irene are set to return with a new mini-album together, their first in five years since ‘Monster’.
