The Chairman of the PDP Caretaker Committee in Ekiti State, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has strongly condemned the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, accusing him of attempting to undermine the opposition ahead of the 2026 elections.

Adeleke described Oyebanji’s efforts, along with those of his team, to frustrate the PDP in the state as a cowardly act driven by the realization that the people have rejected his administration, which he labeled a complete failure.

In a telephone interview with our reporter, Adeleke said:
“Oyebanji is in mortal fear of the PDP in Ekiti because he knows the people have already rejected him. His government is a monumental failure in every aspect of life, and the people can see it clearly now.”

“Tell Oyebanji that the chickens have come home to roost. The massive looting under his government, the total lack of developmental projects, and the general decay in governance will all come back to haunt him in the next election.”

“He is well aware of this, and that is why he’s attempting to suppress the PDP, which is now in full gear to liberate the people from his oppressive rule.”

“If Oyebanji were confident in his performance, he wouldn’t be stopping PDP candidates from advertising through the Ekiti Signage and Advertisement Agency. While his disorganized and pitiful APC candidates have their posters, flyers, and billboards all over the state, PDP candidates are being blocked from doing the same.”

“We in the PDP condemn these double standards, the absence of fair play, and the unjust, draconian tactics employed by this failed APC governor.”

“Did he build hospitals? No. Roads? No. Schools or tertiary institutions? Again, no. Is the average Ekiti citizen better off today? Not only is the answer a resounding NO, but life has become even harder for ordinary people since Oyebanji and his fraudulent cronies took power. Poverty is now visible everywhere in Ekiti; people are sad, hungry, and sick, with no access to proper healthcare.”

Adeleke emphasized that the people of Ekiti have vowed not to support Oyebanji again, and this, he said, is the reason for the governor’s desperate attempts to frustrate the PDP, which is poised to unseat his “infamous government.”

“Biodun Oyebanji’s administration takes the record as the worst government in Ekiti State history.”

“We hereby advice Oyebanji and his compromised agencies to allow fair play in Ekiti, or we will take legal action against all those involved,” Adeleke said.
