Oyo PDP Chieftain and Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Federal Constituency Matters, Hon. Dare Adeleke has expressed deep sadness at the death of Ambassador Ibironke Adefope, former High Commissioner to Zambia. He described the late Adefope as an icon of diplomacy and peace during her lifetime.
His message reads:
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved aunt, Her Excellency, Ambassador Ibironke Adefope, former Nigerian High Commissioner to Zambia and a remarkable woman whose life was defined by grace, integrity, and service to the nation.
Ambassador Adefope was not only family but also a beacon of wisdom and strength, a woman who carried herself with dignity, an icon of peace who contributed immensely to Nigeria’s diplomatic corps.
Her legacy of excellence lives on in her children, especially in her daughter, the distinguished Ms. Tara Adefope, Director-General of the Due Process Office in Oyo State, who continues to serve our dear state with distinction and commitment. My most heartfelt sympathy, dynamic Amazon.
At this time of great loss, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire Adefope family. I also express my deepest sympathy to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and to the good people of Oyo State. We mourn a true daughter of Oyo who brought honour to our state and country.
May the Almighty grant her eternal rest and comfort all who mourn her passing.
